Because I can’t ever decide on one project, I fell in love with the idea of a green and brown bouquet after finding some components I loved at Hobby Lobby. So I think this one would make a lovely bridesmaid bouquet. It’s very important if you want to incorporate holiday items into your wedding that you don’t overdo it. I purposely avoided red and green and chose to go with earth tones instead.
Materials – All from Hobby Lobby:
- 3 Clusters of flowers (these had poinsettias, apples, and folliage in them)
- 4 Copper colored leaf ornaments
- 3 Bunches of copper colored berries.
- Green floral wire stems
- Green floral tape
- Ribbon
- Magazine, paper towel, hot glue (Optional)
- Wire cutters
I started by preparing the pieces:
In all cases, I folded a piece of floral wire in half, laid it along side the stem of the piece, and then wrapped it in floral tape. With the leaf, I threaded it through the hole on the ornament first.
Then I simply arranged the pieces in a vase to get the appearance I wanted. I made sure to turn each of the large green bunches so that they looked like a thoughtful assemblage of many pieces instead of 3 identical pieces all aligned the same. I bent and placed the pieces so that they had depth and were more interesting. I finished the bouquet as I did with the bridal bouquet but with a copper colored ribbon. Voila!
