Today’s post is a great example of how different photographers can have a very different take on the same location. That’s the joy of the Photo Ops project. You may recall that the Clear Creek History Park was already featured and so was the river walk in Golden. I thought it was really cool so I wandered out that way on my own and found a lot of good stuff in that area (see gallery at the end of this post). Well some of that cool stuff popped up in this submission and I was excited to recognize it.
The couple featured in this session, Liz and Cecil, have a special place in their heart for the Clear Creek Trail in Golden. They take their dog, Maddy, there about once a week. So when it came time to take their engagement photos, it was a “clear” choice (see what I did there). They ended up at Clear Creek History Park (11th and Arapahoe in Golden). Since the last time this location was mentioned, I learned a lot more about it. In addition to being a FREE park that you can wander through, on certain days there are historically accurate performers and you can actually get inside the buildings. The rustic architecture and quirky details make for a very fun backdrop with a ton of possibilities. Tank you to KB Digital Designs for this submission!
And here is my wee tour of the area. As usual, it’s not as impressive as the professional take with live humans in love. So I greatly appreciate the submission above to showing what can be done with the locations.
