While I know this is somewhat out of character for A Colorado Courtship, I had to jump at the chance to show you this beautiful fashion shoot. Because it’s more than just a jaw-dropping editorial spread with photography worthy of a great magazine, it’s also an homage to talented local vendors and it chronicles the transition of a Denver area landmark as it enters its next stage of life. And I’m completely in love with the dress in the first set of images…and the industrial vibe…and the angular modern bouquet with the calla lilies. Just sayin’.
From the Photographer, From the Hip Photo:
The Stanley Aviation building has a lot of history. The first ejection seat was designed here and it was pivotal in early aerospace engineering. The new face of Stanley is going to be a bustling marketplace, with a unique event center run by Kevin Taylor and many unique shops and restaurants. This is the setting for our shoot, taken a month before construction begins which will metamorphose this amazing 140,000+ sq. foot space.
The first model, Cindy Yan, is wearing a very unique bias designed gown called “Bardot” from Matthew Christopher (Little White Dress). Later in the shoot she wears Nicole Miller’s “Lily” (A & Be Bridal Shop). Susana wears Rivini’s “Martini” gown (Little White Dress). Finally, Laura is in the Ariel gown by Simply Bridal. The beautiful veiling accessories are by Colorado’s own Sara Gabriel. Styling was provided by Devann and Matt at Rita B Salon Denver. And of course, if it’s a knock your socks off bouquet, there’s a good chance that it was a Bella Calla creation.Photography: From the Hip Photo | Venue: Stanley Aviation | Models: Wilhelmina Denver | Floral Design: Bella Calla | Gowns: Little White Dress and A & Be Bridal Shop | Accessories: Sara Gabriel Veiling and Headpieces | Styling: Rita B Salon Denver
