Come with me on a journey down W. 13th Street in Denver. In a few short blocks of this Denver Art Museum engagement session, we see one of the most visually inspiring urban landscapes in town. Starting at British themed Pint’s Pub and moving east toward the Denver Public Library; Chelsea, Kyle, and their photographer, Angel, showcased each location along the path in ways I have not seen before. Two things that Infinite Pixels by Angel Photography seems to excel at without a doubt are framing an image to maximize the naturally artistic qualities of the location and capturing that all-important almost-kiss. I love the way the artwork, reflections, etc. act like glorious visual frames. No cheesy poses with the typical statues here. Instead we get to see the lesser noticed items like the library windows honored beautifully. But the star of the show was truly this couple’s chemistry. Many couples struggle to be affectionate on film even in discrete locations. This couple is standing next to traffic and it feels like it’s just the two of them. As a result they got to document a few kisses that major motion picture producers would envy. One of the best things a photographer can learn is that the moments leading up to a kiss and the reaction after undoubtedly trump the actual kiss in terms of beautiful photos. With Chelsea and Kyle, every step of the way is kinetic. I’m going to have to give them the “Hot Couple of the Year” award. (Sorry guys, I have no actual certificate for you…only the uncomfortable feeling of a strange blogger ranking your canoodling abilities. You’re welcome.)
From the photographer:
I could not have enjoyed this sweet couple more. Sarcastic, witty and totally at ease with each other. I absolutely loved getting to work with these two and Loved this session.
